THOMAS Edward Lloyd (Ted)
RN Born Subiaco WA 1917 Died Subiaco WA 15 September 2003
Service No: Royal Navy Commissioned Officer. WWII service. Joined RN in 1940 under the “Yachtsmens’ Scheme” and saw service in the Atlantic, Mediterranean, Indian and Pacific Waters and was discharged in 1946 with the rank of Lieutenant. In 1954 founded Jacka-Wortley Fabrics and retired in 1985 in favour of his son, Aviation Journalist Geoffrey Thomas (who produced the Highgate Newsletter in the mid-1990s).
