Alan Stubbs was a Military Chaplain from 1978 to 1983, serving in WA, Victoria, NSW and Queensland, then in the RANR until 2003, including as Chaplain in Charge after the Blackhawk and HMAS Westralia disasters. After retiring in2003, Alan became an advocate for pensions and welfare and was responsible for Training and Information (TIP), leading the introduction of the Advocacy Training and Development Program (ATDP) in WA.
