Naval Officer in Command Western Australia 1979-82. Patron HMAS Canberra / Shroshire Association. Served in Royal Australian Navy 1943-82. Retired Commodore. Awarded The Order of the British Empire – Commander (Military) (Imperial) (CBE) – RAN Postwar Honours List: 13 June 1981
