1942-47 Served in AIF overseas (PNG) 44-45. Held all ranks except WO1, before graduating from OCTU as Lieutenant in 1944. Joined Interim Army 1947 and the ARA in 1952. Held a wide variety of Corps and Staff Appointments in Ranks of Lt through to Brigadier. Appointed Director General of Supply (Army) head of RAAOC 1975. Retired 1978. Awarded the Officer of the Order of Australia (AO) -For service to the Ordnance Service of the Australian Army: 6 June 1978
