MONTEATH James Percival (Jim)

Service No: 57046. Joined the Army in 1953, graduating from the Royal Military College, Duntroon in 1956. He saw active service with 3 RAR in 1958-59 during the Malayan Emergency. From 1962-65, he served in the PNG as a Captain with the Pacific Islands Regiment, 1 Battalion, C Company, and later was transferred to Borneo. Promoted Major, he went to South Vietnam in 1967-68 with 2 RAR, as OC C Company. Jim retired from the Army in 1983 after 30 years of service.
