Joined the Royal Navy 20 February 1946. Served on Destroyers, Cruisers, Battleship and Aircraft Carriers. From 1954-62 served on board Royal Yacht Britannia as Personal Coxswain to HM The Queen. Awarded Royal Victorian Medal (RVM) 1962 Chairman Royal Naval Association, Perth Branch
