For his service to scouting in SA and WA., he received the MBE. President of the CIV. 1970-71 Ex City Valuer for City of Perth. Awarded The Order of the British Empire – Member (Civil) (Imperial) (MBE) – Commissioner-WA Boy Scouts Association: 2 June 1962. State War Memorial Sub-Warden.
