Missed the draft due to illness, Served with 28th Infantry Battalion South West Pacific New Guinea. Then 1 Australian Commando Battalion. Finally PWCC (Italian PoWs) Discharged 1946. Served 14 years in RAAF Reserve. Retired as TAFE College Principal
