Service No: 272371. Pre- War Pilot Royal Australian Air Force (Reserve) Darwin GSOIII Intelligence 6 Australian Division. Returned to RAAF for 8 Years as Flying Instructor, then transport pilot in the Pacific. CO 34 and 38 Squadrons. Awarded Queen’s Jubilee Medal 1978. Awarded the Air Force Cross (Imperial) (AFC) – 38 Squadron RAAF: 14 June 1945. Author of War Without Glory: Australians in the Air War with Japan 1941-5 (1984)
