Entered Army life in August 1965 in order to fulfil his 2 year National Service obligation. Trained with 3RAR and volunteered for duty in Vietnam with 5RAR and 7RAR, first tour at Nui Dat base. Richard is a member of Vietnam Veterans Association; a Sub-Warden of the State War Memorial; a former Treasurer of Highgate RSL and CEO of First International Debt Collection.
