The DVA record shows Sergeant MacKenzie enlisting from Victoria; however he has a South Australian Service Number (442XXX) and is listed in the SA Memorial.

At 1330 hours on 7 November 1944, Kittyhawk A29-195 crashed 15 kms west of the aerodrome during low flying practice, killing pilot Sergeant MacKenzie.
