Brother of Flying Officer Donald Erskine Knight (2762)

On a circuit and landings exercise on 30 January 1943, Wirraway A20-166 failed to make a clear take off run and struck the top of trees when about 20 feet in the air and both crew members were dangerously injured in the accident.
