In recognition of the Centenary of the Armistice, Highgate will be holding a much larger event on Armistice Day than has been previously undertaken. The State Reception Centre has been booked for the Highgate Luncheon providing for a possible attendance of up to 320 people. Preliminary notice of the event has already elicited many expressions of interest from outside the Sub-Branch. Consequently, Highgate Members have the opportunity to book from now and will receive priority up to 30 September.
The Luncheon arrangements will be similar to those of previous years and Members will be advised through Newsletters and Information Bulletins as arrangements are finalised. Seating will be assigned and Members will be able to advise of guests and friends preferred seating arrangements.
Highgate will not be conducting its own separate Remembrance Day Service this year and Members and their guests are invited to attend the State Service that will be held at the Flame of Remembrance at 1100 hours. The Luncheon will commence at 1230 hours.
In recognition of the likely difficulty of obtaining vehicle parking at a reasonable distance on the day, the Highgate Committee is making transport arrangements from the City to Kings Park and return, and Members will be advised when those arrangements are finalised.
The cost of the Luncheon is $80 per person that includes a two-course meal with soft drinks, beer and wine. Please use the link to the Booking Form shown above and pay by EFT at the time of booking to confirm your reservations.
